Born in Fiji, Arthur commencing his career in Fiji as a Sugar Process Engineer, he has undertaken various roles as a Project Engineer/Project Manager/HSSE Advisor/ Engineering Manager/Operations Manager/Project Director/Business Unit Director on a diverse variety of operations and engineering projects involving oil and gas facilities, airport fuelling facilities, service stations, mining facilities, ship building & repair, structural steel fabrication and site erection & assembly work. He has extensive hands-on experience on Technical Audits and HSSEQ auditing & management.

Arthur has also worked on both sides of the Project Management arena – as a Construction Contractor/Consulting Services Provider and a Client/Asset Owner. He has directly & personally managed and been accountable for projects up to A$50m. He has been a Team Member on projects up to A$150m.

Arthur is recognised for his excellent people/team management and communications skills, gained through a multitude of projects which entailed hands-on regulatory approvals, engineering design, site construction, commissioning & operations handover activities and HSSE roles. Arthur has spent over fifteen years working in Australian Consulting Engineering and has extensive experience in project delivery within the Energy & Resources Sector on engineering design, procurement facilitation and construction management in Australia, PNG, and almost all other Pacific Is.

Major companies in the Petroleum and Gas industry that Arthur has strong direct Client relationships with include Shell (Viva Energy), Ampol, BP, Exxon Mobil, Santos, Total, Puma Energy, Santos, QGC, Origin and Arrow.

Arthur currently resides and is based in Brisbane. His wife is a successful SME business owner/licensee of a major National Australian Retail Services company. Arthur is a keen golfer who is also passionately involved in the coaching and mentoring of young engineers and staff in Australia and Pacific Is.

  • Transitioned smoothly from Downstream to Upstream O & G sector with Uhde Shedden, seconded to Oil Search Ltd for the PNG LNG project.

  • Managed engineering services to CSG producer Eastern Star Gas (now Santos).

  • Delivered Hot Bitumen Import Facility and ULP Tank Projects for Shell Australia in 2008.

  • Served with the Shell Group (1986-2005) in various engineering and management roles, including Pacific Islands Engineering Manager (2003-2005).

  • Project Director for the Shell Tahiti Tank project, overseeing construction of two 14,000 m3 fuel storage tanks.

  • Commercial Director and Acting General Manager for Hides Gas Development Ltd (HGDC).
